Medical Lab Technicians (MLTII) assist physicians and specialists by performing testing on blood, tissue, and bodily fluids. They confirm test results and provide data for diagnosis and treatment.
This list is not exhaustive. Employees may be asked to perform other duties as required, with reasonable accommodation.
Licensing/Certification: MLT certification or eligibility (preferably ASCP).
Education: Associate's degree in Medical Lab Technology, or completion of 60 semester hours including chemistry and biology, plus a certified medical lab technician program, or a 50-week military medical lab training course within the past ten years.
Work Experience: At least 5 years in a clinical laboratory setting.
