The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science field and 2+ years of clinical lab experience, with a potential for preceptor responsibilities and participation in quality improvement

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution; OR CLIA equivalency as listed in additional information
• 2+ years of clinical lab experience would be preferred

Aufgaben

• Perform pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, supply stocking, specimen collection, and processing
• Conduct post-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including reporting results and providing technical support
• Complete tests and analytical procedures according to standard operating procedures
• Participate in proficiency testing and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
• May act as a preceptor for orientation and training of new staff
• Support education to clinical staff and resolve customer service issues within guidelines
• Follow safety policies and handle hazardous materials according to policy
• Engage in performance improvement activities and assist with new techniques and data collection
