Mercy Health in Perrysburg is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) to perform routine tests on blood, tissues and other specimens, delivering accurate results to support patient care. You will follow CLIA-approved protocols, maintain safety and quality control, and ensure patient confidentiality.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field, is MLS-certified or eligible, and has completed an externship.

Qualifications

• BS in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology or Biochemistry from CLIA-approved program (required).
• MLS certification or eligible by ASCP (required).

Responsabilités

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens in a timely, accurate manner according to procedures.
• Determines acceptability of specimens via visual inspection or results.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges before reporting.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient work environment; troubleshoots equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
