Job summary

Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to obtain authorizations and verify coverage for office visits, surgeries, testing, and procedures. Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience with insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary authorizations for office visits, surgeries, testing, and office procedures.
• Work with insurance companies to ensure proper documentation is sent for review and follow-up to verify receipt and authorization.
• Assist the surgery scheduler to schedule surgeries, tests, and pre-op appointments; explain preparations.
• Obtain deductible and copay information for surgeries, procedures and office visits; ensure collection or arrange payment plans.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate documentation and resource utilization.
