Job summary

Banner Health’s Scottsdale imaging center is seeking a Med Imaging Assistant to support technologists by preparing exam rooms, assisting with patient registration, and coordinating appointments. This role emphasizes clerical duties, patient interaction, and basic procedures under supervision.

You will work with a team to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced imaging department, handling PACS documentation, charting, and patient flow while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Good judgment, communication, and discretion with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, staff, and the public; answer calls and schedule appointments.
• Enter patient information and scan documents into PACS; maintain patient records.
• Assist with acquisition and distribution of digital patient records in PACS.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with pre/post procedure setup and IVs when required.
• Coordinate patient appointments and discharge processes; assist with charts and billing workflows.
• Support departments by printing schedules, labels, and forms for the next business day.
• Maintain supplies; assist in room turnover and patient transport coordination.
