Job summary

Allina Health in Minnesota is seeking a Customer Experience Scheduling professional to support procedural and orders-based services within the Call Center. You will coordinate access to complex hospital and clinic scheduling and provide outstanding customer service to patients and clinical staff.

The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with shift options from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and opportunities for day/evening coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience required to meet functional competencies.
• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience or familiarity with scheduling in Epic is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides scheduling support for procedural and orders-based services.
• Performs coordinated complex scheduling with emphasis on customer service.
• Assists patients and clinical staff by coordinating access to scheduling, registration, or prior authorizations.
• Coordinates post-discharge outpatient services ordered by the health care team.
• Ensures data collection entries are accurate and complete.
• Obtains prior authorization for high-tech imaging procedures via portals and phone contacts.
• Handles chart scanning and uses EMR systems for scheduling and registration.
• Performs patient chart research and entries based on protocols.
• May operate a multi-phone system and access other health system portals.

Key Position Details:

Four positions available for this location. Consider joining our Customer Experience Call Center! The Customer Experience Center supports all of Allina Health and works directly with patients and family members to help them navigate care. Full Time (40 hours/week) and full benefits Onboarding: First 8 weeks - 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM Mon-Fri. This includes instructor led classes, colleague shadowing and taking calls. Job Description:

• Provides scheduling support for procedural and orders-based services.
• Performs coordinated complex scheduling support with an emphasis on customer service to enhance the customer experience.
• Assists patients and clinical professionals by coordinating access to complex hospital, clinic, specialty service scheduling, registration or prior authorizations.
• Coordinates all post discharge outpatient services ordered by health care team.
• Ensures data collection entries are accurate and complete.
• Obtains prior authorization for high-tech imaging procedures by utilizing web based portals and phone contacts.
• Scanning clinical document (orders and related clinical information, referrals, prior authorization approvals, etc.) into chart.
• Utilizes various computer systems to perform scheduling and registration process including an electronic medical record.
• Performs patient chart research and documentation evaluating and enters orders based on protocols.
• May utilize digital platform tools.
• May operate a multi-phone system.
• May access other health system portals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description 2+ years of customer service experience

• Experience in health care setting
• Experience with scheduling in Epic

Pay Range:

Pay Range Pay Range: $23.22 to $31.83 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
