Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a field service engineer to service AT/XP diagnostic instruments in the Charlottesville, VA area. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision while delivering timely repairs and training operators to ensure peak system performance.

You will manage territory finances, maintain tools and equipment, and document usage and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; technical Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer servicing diagnostic instruments.
• Proficiency with tools and service test equipment, working both individually and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in network applications and tools (eVO, mButler, MS Office, Concur, NAM Customer Service website – Engineer Tools).
• Valid driver’s license; ability to drive independently day and night with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Servicing AT/XP equipment in the Charlottesville, VA area; engineer level based on prior experience.
• Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics instrumentation at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Delivering timely and effective repairs and providing adequate training to operators to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
• Managing financial performance within territory, meeting or exceeding revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management targets.
• Maintaining tool and test equipment expiration dates, ensuring that no overdue calibration test equipment is used, and documenting tool and test usage on eFSR.
• Managing company assets, including company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.
• Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with customers and peers, and performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
• Providing mentoring to other CSEs on all competencies and responsibilities.
