Job summary

US Heart and Vascular is seeking a Full-time Medical Front Office Specialist to join our team at HeartPlace in McKinney, TX. The role includes patient check-in, data entry, cash handling, scheduling, and front desk support across clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical front desk and customer service experience, with 6 months of EMR exposure (ECW or Athena preferred). The position may require travel between locations as needed and offers a Monday–Friday schedule

Qualifications

1 year of medical front desk and customer service experience is required.
6 months of EMR experience is required.
ECW or Athena preferred.

Responsibilities

Registers all new patients at time of check-in and enters data in computer system.
Requests co-pays, patient balances and coinsurance from patients at time of arrival.
Provides support for all incoming calls to the clinic.
Communicates the arrival of patients to the clinical area.
Completes pre-certification/pre-authorizations process prior to the patient arrival.
Prepares charts/paperwork for next day’s patients.
Supports the check-out process of the clinic.
Calculates and totals charge amount; collects co-pays and deductibles, informs patient of the charge for services.
Supports the scheduling process of the clinic.
Performs all other duties as required.
Required to move between locations as needed.
