Medical Front Office - Patient Service Specialist

Job Details

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Location: Poland, ME

Type of Employment: Part-time

Schedule: Fridays - 7:30am to 4:15pm

Compensation: Starting at $18/hour (pending experience)

Overview

As a patient service specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for patients entering our outpatient physical therapy center in Poland. Your role involves managing both patient interactions and administrative tasks, ensuring an exceptional experience for every patient.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients, provide information about their visit and next appointment
  • Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
  • Communicate regularly with attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, and internal teams
  • Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance verifications and authorizations
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
