Job summary

Select Medical in Navarre, FL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our outpatient physical therapy center. This PRN/Per diem role centers on front desk tasks, greeting patients, registering them, scheduling visits, and assisting with inquiries at checkout.

The ideal candidate has a background in medical office work and health care experience, with strong communication and customer-service skills to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.
• Health Care Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Overview

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Location: Navarre,FL

Type of Employment: PRN/Per diem

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7am to 4pm OR 9am to 6pm

Compensation: $18-$19/hour (pending experience)

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in Navarre, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.
