Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist in Defuniak Springs, FL. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with pay of $15.00–$17.00 per hour based on experience.

You will greet patients, register them, schedule visits, and handle co-pays and insurance verifications at the outpatient PT center. The position emphasizes delivering an exceptional front-desk experience, coordinating with doctors, attorneys, insurers, and translation services, and supporting the business

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum Qualifications: 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
• Minimum Qualifications: Health Care Experience
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Insurance Verification Experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
