Job summary

Select Medical in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, schedule appointments, and manage front desk operations in our outpatient physical therapy center.

You will coordinate with patients, attorneys, insurers and our care teams, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and support center administration, ensuring a smooth, compassionate patient experience from check-in to checkout.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.
• Insurance Verification Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Position:Patient Service Specialist

Location: Glen Allen, VA

Type of Employment: Full time

Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday (8am to 4:30pm) & Tuesday/Thursday (9:30am to 6:30pm)

Compensation: $18-$19/hour - (Pending experience)
