Job summary

Upper Cumberland Family Physicians, a division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking a Multi-Duty Receptionist to join their on-site team in Cookeville, TN. This is a full-time role supporting busy front desk operations within a premier medical network.

You will greet patients, answer calls, verify information, schedule appointments, collect copays, and coordinate lab work while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, time management and organization are essential.
• Ability to listen actively and collaborate with teammates.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls in a professional manner and assists caller’s needs appropriately.
• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner
• Checks-in patients, verifies and updates information, performs registration and collects copays.
• Assists patients with ambulatory difficulties and is customer service oriented.
• Appointment scheduling, referrals, and pre-certifications.
• Files charts and coordinates lab work, as requested.
• Sorts and delivers mail, medical records, and other correspondence.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Attendance/Punctuality: dependable and timely; notifies supervisor 2 weeks in advance for time off.
• Cooperates with coworkers and attends meetings as required.
• Performs related work as assigned.
