Job summary

Mental Health Cooperative is seeking a Medical Receptionist for our Clarksville, TN location. The role coordinates scheduling for consumers and provides administrative support to Medical Operations staff onsite.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, dependability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous health care administrative experience preferred.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Acceptable MVR check.
• Acceptable criminal background investigation.
• Personal automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of new and return appointments for consumers with physicians and nursing staff.
• Maintain professional calendars and schedules of Medical Operations.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously; retrieve messages.
• Provide clerical support to Medical Operations staff (faxing, filing, mail distribution).
• Support insurance verification and collect co-pays as needed.
• Keep lobby, kitchen and desk areas neat and organized.
