AFC Urgent Care - Portland is hiring a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Portland clinic. You’ll be highly organized, people-friendly, and ready to make a meaningful impact as patients arrive.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll check-in patients, enter data into our EMR, verify insurance, handle payments, and coordinate with team members. We offer growth opportunities, bonuses, and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of people-facing customer service experience.
• 1+ year of experience with medical administrative duties.
• Solid computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a warm, friendly attitude.
• Guide patients through check-in and EMR data entry.
• Verify insurance details quickly and clearly; explain coverage and payment due.
• Complete the checkout process and provide required documentation.
• Manage incoming phone calls and route to the right team member.
• Handle emails and faxes promptly and accurately.
• Oversee cash drawer duties from setup to closeout.
• Keep front desk and lobby area clean, calm and disinfected between patients.
• Support the clinic team and take on other tasks as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
