Job summary

AFC Urgent Care - Oregon City is seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic. You’ll greet patients, manage check-in, verify insurance, and guide the checkout while keeping the front desk calm in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include at least 1 year of customer service and medical administrative duties, solid computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. We offer monthly bonuses, free healthcare for you and family, a 401(k) match, 3 weeks PTO,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of people-facing customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with medical administrative duties.
• Solid computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a warm, friendly attitude that sets the tone for their visit.
• Guide patients through check-in, ensuring forms are completed and entered into the EMR.
• Verify insurance details quickly and confidently, explaining coverage and any payment due.
• Complete the checkout process and provide necessary documentation.
• Manage incoming phone calls and route them to the right team member.
• Stay on top of emails and faxes, handling requests promptly.
• Handle cash drawer duties from setup to end-of-day closeout.
• Keep the front desk and lobby area clean, calm, and welcoming.
• Jump in where needed to support the clinic team.
