Job description

We are currently seeking adetail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Front Desk Receptionist to joinour healthcare team in Amherst and Northampton, MA. The Front Desk Receptionistplays a critical role in providing excellent customer service and ensuringefficient front desk operations.

Compensation & Benefits: $21.00- $23.00 per hour plus benefits package.

Schedule:Full-time Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients with a warmand friendly demeanor as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Assist in scheduling patientappointments, making reminder calls, and rescheduling as necessary.
  • Accurately collect and inputpatient information into the electronic medical records system.
  • Verify patient insuranceinformation, collect co-payments, and address billing inquiries.
  • Manage incoming phone callsprofessionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain and update patientrecords, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage the patient flow inthe waiting area to minimize wait times and maintain an organized front deskarea.
  • Assist healthcare providersand medical staff with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Perform medical assistantduties such as taking patient vital signs, preparing patients for exams, andassisting with minor procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma orequivalent.
  • Prior experience as a FrontDesk Receptionist in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Medical Assistantcertification is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills.
  • Proficiency in usingelectronic medical records systems.
