Job summary

You will greet patients, schedule appointments, maintain records, handle payments, and protect patient confidentiality while delivering courteous, responsive service in a busy physician office setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of physician office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
• Optimize patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
• Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
• Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
