Job summary

The Office of Licensure and Certification in Richmond, VA is seeking full-time Medical Facility Inspectors for the HCO (Home Care Organization) Acute Care team in the Northern Virginia region. This position will conduct onsite inspections and complaint investigations of HCOs, ensuring compliance with state regulations and promoting quality health care practices.

Frequent travel (3–4 days/week) is required across Virginia.

Qualifications

• Self-directed with specialized knowledge of health care systems and health care administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Clear oral and written communication; capable of independent management of multiple tasks.
• Ability to assess patient care plans and interpret complex state/federal regulations.
• If LTC/Complaint unit, must obtain SMQT within 12 months of hire; OSHA fit testing within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite inspections and complaint investigations of Home Care Organizations (HCOs).
• Promote compliance with state regulations and quality health care practices.
• Review and recommend plans of correction to health care providers.
• Travel across Virginia up to 3–4 days per week.
