Job summary

Virginia Housing in Glen Allen, VA seeks a Program Compliance Officer to manage a diverse property portfolio and ensure mortgagor/owner compliance with program, loan and regulatory requirements. You will deliver daily technical support and training to owners, management, and site agents on interpreting rules for LIHTC and HUD programs.

The role requires inspecting properties physically, reporting findings, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• A few years of experience in Property Management or affordable housing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet functionality.
• Must be able to inspect properties by navigating buildings, stairways, and grounds.
• Valid driver’s license with travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a property portfolio and ensure compliance with program, loan, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide daily technical support and training to owners, management and site agents.
• Conduct compliance audits and physical inspections per IRS, HUD, and NSPIRE guidelines.
