Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an Equipment Technician to support the department's equipment, stock, and maintenance needs to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and English proficiency. CPR/AHA BLS certifications are required or obtained by the end of orientation; prior healthcare experience preferred. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Proficient in English; good communication skills.
• AHA BLS certification required; CPR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locates, cleans, decontaminates, sets up, and prepares instruments and equipment for the department.
• Keeps department stocked with supplies and maintains a clean, orderly work area.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique in all duties and communicates with other departments as needed.
• Assists with preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and prevention of waste.
• Provides friendly, professional service to patients, visitors and staff.
