Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an Equipment Technician to support the department with setup, sterilization, and maintenance of medical equipment across locations. The role requires partnering with Clinical Equipment, Central Supply and Maintenance to ensure readiness for procedures while upholding strict quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and AHA BLS; English proficiency and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AHA BLS certification required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology; proficient in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Locates, cleans, decontaminates, sets up and prepares instruments and equipment for the department.
• Prepares and maintains patient equipment and ensures supplies are stocked and organized.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique in all job duties.
• Assists with cleaning, maintenance and inventory; notifies appropriate personnel for malfunctioning equipment.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, visitors and healthcare staff.
• Maintains par levels, tracks expiration dates and coordinates with supervisors for ordering.
