Job summary

DASCO Home Medical Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver and assemble medical equipment and educate patients and caregivers on proper use and maintenance.

The role includes completing documentation, following safety protocols, and supporting warehouse and inventory tasks. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and may have residential delivery experience or healthcare customer service background.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medical equipment and supplies, educates the patient and/or caregiver on use, maintenance and benefits, and completes all required paperwork.
• Maintains compliance logs and applicable records and receipts per policy and procedure.
• Complies with HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA and other regulations; reports safety or compliance issues to the manager.
• Provides afterhours coverage with other Medical Equipment Technicians.
• Assists in training new Medical Equipment Technicians as requested by the manager.
• Identifies patient needs and revenue opportunities; communicates them to Customer Service for follow-up.
• Supports vehicle maintenance and completes maintenance manifests per policy.
• Maintains warehouse, inventory levels and equipment cleanliness per policy; adheres to regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the branch office manager.
