Job summary

Penumbra, Inc. in Alameda, CA is seeking a Medical Education Program Associate to support a broad range of medical education programs across Penumbra’s product lines.

This role focuses on logistics, on-site support, vendor coordination and adherence to QMS and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with the Medical Education team, arrange in-person and virtual events, manage materials, registrations and travel, and provide on-site support with occasional travel, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Event planning experience a plus.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard office tools are required.
• Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to interact with physicians and healthcare professionals in a professional manner.
• Must be creative, self-motivated, proactive, intuitive, organized, and flexible.
• Medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Medical Education team to support a wide range of programs including dinners, webinars, CE forums, fellows meetings and summits.
• Coordinate logistics for programs, including planning, site contracting, and facilitating seamless execution of in-person and virtual components.
• Assembly, shipment, and distribution of course materials to ensure timely delivery and preparedness.
• Support program registration and travel processes, including attendee communications and confirmations.
• Facilitate relationships with third party vendors to ensure successful execution of medical education programs.
• Provide on-site support for Medical Education Programs; travel may be required, including weekends.
• Assist with assembling presentation and educational materials for physician and customer programs.
• Prepare and maintain inventory of all necessary course materials and demo products.
• Support Professional Education CE credit programs and adhere to QMS requirements.
