Job summary

Highmark Inc. is seeking a senior financial analyst to lead the financial reporting for the strategic cost of care savings program.

You will gather data from multiple partners, perform quality checks, and deliver an executive-facing report with key insights on program impact to the health plan. The role requires building dashboards and reports to show total program impact, tracking outcomes, and providing strategic focus areas.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of Medical Economics, Healthcare Analytics, Informatics and/or Actuarial Services in the health care payer sector.
  • Strong coding background (R, R Shiny, Python, SQL, etc.). Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health, Economics, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences or related area.
  • Master's Degree in related area preferred.
  • Proven analytical ability to drive independent work and meet business timelines and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic/tactical insights into emerging medical cost trends; craft executive-ready presentations.
  • Extract, summarize and analyze large datasets via SAS, SQL or similar tools.
  • Provide opportunity assessments of strategic medical cost programs and project savings.
  • Develop and present medical cost analytics and insights on claim cost drivers.
  • Collaborate with departments to tell the full analytical story across the organization.
