Job summary

Highmark Inc. is seeking a finance and analytics professional to lead the financial reporting for its strategic cost of care savings program.

You will gather data from multiple partners, perform quality checks, and deliver executive-ready reports with insights on program impact. The role requires strong SAS/SQL/R skills, experience building dashboards, and the ability to communicate complex analytics to senior leadership in a clear, concise manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health, Economics, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences or related area.
  • 5 years of Medical Economics, Healthcare Analytics, Informatics and/or Actuarial Services in the health care payer sector.
  • Strong coding background (R, R Shiny, Python, SQL).
  • Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny.
  • Healthcare industry experience with knowledge of emerging trends and challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic/tactical insights into emerging medical cost trends and present findings clearly.
  • Extract, summarize and analyze large datasets via SAS, SQL or similar tools.
  • Coordinate savings projections and post-implementation savings measurements.
  • Develop improved business case and savings estimate capabilities for projections.
  • Drive medical cost analytics and present insights to key business partners.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop the full analytical story.
