Brown University Health is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist/RTT to support treatment planning for conventional radiotherapy, IMRT, and brachytherapy. You will work with physicians to ensure directives are accurately carried out and patient plans meet quality standards.

You will participate in simulations, assist with dosimetry measurements, and help with chart checks and documentation. CMD is preferred; board eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• AS or BA degree in health/physical sciences; CMD preferred.
• One year clinical radiation therapy experience as an RTT; four years in dosimetry and planning.
• Familiarity with dosimetric and treatment planning concepts for external beam and brachytherapy.
• Knowledge of QA procedures for equipment in a modern Radiation Oncology facility.
• CMD certification preferred; eligibility required for board certification.

Responsabilités

• Contour patients, obtain separations, evaluate CT data for simulator coverage.
• Perform dose calculations and verify data for each case.
• Create isodose distributions representing treatment per simulator parameters.
• Assist physicians to optimize IMRT treatment plans and workflow.
• Assist in brachytherapy dose calculations and time determinations.
• Prepare documentation for each case accurately and timely.
• Assist with machine QA and weekly chart checks.
