Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a clinically experienced Radiation Therapist Dosimetrist to support treatment planning for conventional radiotherapy, IMRT, and brachytherapy. You will interact with physicians, perform accurate dose calculations, and ensure high-quality documentation and patient safety.

The role emphasizes CT evaluation, isodose distribution accuracy, and collaboration with physicists to perform chart checks and QA.

Qualifications

• One year practical experience in clinical radiation therapy as a RTT.
• Four years experience in radiation dosimetry and treatment planning.
• CMD preferred; eligibility for board certification required.

Responsibilities

• Contour patient, obtain separations, evaluate CT images and verify off-axis data for simulator coverage.
• Perform dose calculations and assess information for each case using correct factors.
• Provide isodose distributions accurately representing the patient's treatment per simulator parameters.
• Assist physicians to optimize IMRT treatment plans and solve setup difficulties.
• Support physics staff with machine QA and weekly chart checks.
