Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks a Medical Dosimetrist to design external beam, brachytherapy plans and adaptive cases using 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT and SRS. You will provide dosimetry support to simulations and treatment units as needed.

Responsibilities include HDR planning for GYN and prostate implants, LDR eye plaques, Y-90 therapies, QA, image registration and training of residents and physics staff. Masters of Medical Dosimetry required or MDCB eligible.

Qualifications

• Education and certification in medical dosimetry per MDCB or JCERT requirements.
• Two years of dosimetry experience preferred.
• Strong communication and independent planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and calculate dose distributions for external beam treatments (3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS).
• Execute brachytherapy planning (CT/MRI HDR GYN, HDR prostate, LDR eye plaques) and Y-90 planning.
• Perform HDR daily QA, assist with simulations and clinical research as needed.
• Oversee radioactive material workflow and billing for dosimetry planning.
• Train residents and students in treatment planning and participate in QA reviews.
