Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a qualified professional to perform treatment planning across conventional radiotherapy, IMRT and brachytherapy. You will interact with physicians to implement directives, contribute to simulations, and support dosimetry and quality assurance tasks in a high‑standard oncology setting.

You should have an A.S. (or BA) in health/physical sciences and relevant radiotherapy experience, with CMD/board-certification eligibility welcomed.

Qualifications

• One year practical experience in clinical radiation therapy as a RTT and four years in radiation dosimetry and treatment planning.
• Knowledge of dosimetric and treatment planning concepts for external beam and brachytherapy.
• CMD certification preferred; eligibility for board certification required.

Responsibilities

• Contour patient, obtain separations, evaluate CT images and verify data for simulator coverage.
• Perform dose calculations using correct factors.
• Provide isodose distributions representing the treatment plan.
• Work with physicians to optimize IMRT plans.
• Capable of dosimetry measurements and QA tasks.
• Assist physicians with clinical electron set-ups and documentation.
• Handle radioactive materials per ALARA and regulatory guidelines.
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare boluses or molds as needed.
• Assist in weekly chart checks.
