Qualifications

• Experience in Level I/II trauma centers or ICU settings is a plus.

• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses across specialties such as cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, and more
• Conduct thorough patient assessments through physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic evaluations using tools like medical imaging and lab results
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals — including specialists in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, surgery, Ob/Gyn, pediatrics, and psychiatry — to develop integrated care plans
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic to accurately document patient encounters, update records promptly, and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Coordinate discharge planning and post-acute care to facilitate smooth patient transitions home or to specialized facilities
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects that advance hospital medicine practices
• Respond swiftly to urgent situations, such as airway management or acute pain episodes, while maintaining high standards of safety and infection control

What You'll Bring

• Post-residency experience in hospital medicine or internal medicine required; prior inpatient hospital experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems like Epic or similar platforms for documentation and order entry
• Hands-on experience managing patients in Level I or Level II trauma centers or ICU settings is a plus
• Knowledge of diagnostic radiology techniques, including CT scans and other imaging modalities
• Familiarity with procedures such as suturing, IV infusion administration, BLS, and wound care
• Experience collaborating across specialties such as cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, rheumatology, infectious disease, or palliative medicine
• Strong grasp of medical terminology, physiology, and clinical research methodology to support effective patient assessment and treatment planning
