Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Medical Director - Pathologist to provide on-site medical leadership for the Baltimore PGDx laboratory, supporting precision oncology testing including MRD workflows. The role emphasizes clinical oversight, tissue adequacy review, and oversight of assay development and validation.

Strong collaboration with R&D, Medical Affairs, and operations is required. Qualifications include an MD/DO, board-certified Anatomic Pathology, and fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology with 3+

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
• Fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP) or equivalent molecular diagnostics training.
• 3+ years post-training practice in anatomic and/or molecular pathology.
• Experience in a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited high-complexity molecular diagnostics lab.
• Experience interpreting and reporting molecular oncology testing, including NGS-based profiling.

Responsibilities

• Review and sign out tissue- and blood-based precision oncology cases.
• Provide on-site medical coverage and clinical leadership for the Baltimore laboratory.
• Oversee tissue quality-control, MRD-related testing, and oncology assay development and validation.
• Lead clinical studies, evidence-generation, and companion diagnostic activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches and medical education.
