Job summary

West PACE seeks a Medical Director to lead the PACE program's medical services, ensuring high-quality, compliant care for seniors in the San Marcos area. You will guide clinical operations, drive quality improvement, and collaborate with HR, contracting, and leadership to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires MD/DO, California license, and board certification in internal medicine or family practice, with geriatrics preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
• Board certified in internal medicine or family practice; geriatrics preferred.
• Licensed by the California Medical Board to practice medicine in California.
• Member of the American College of Physician Executives.
• Medicine Directors Certification preferred.
• Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advise the PACE leadership team and board on medical care development.
• Oversee quality improvement and ensure program standards are met.
• Develop and monitor annual QI plan and outcomes for board review.
• Recruit, credential, hire, and orient primary care physicians and NPs.
• Supervise PACE Providers and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate clinical coverage for emergencies and program transitions.
