Job summary

Gary and Mary West PACE in San Marcos, CA, is seeking a physician leader to oversee all medical services, develop PACE program policies, and drive continuous quality improvement. This senior role requires extensive care for the elderly and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The position emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and ensuring high-quality participant care while supporting mission-driven growth and staff development within a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in caring for seniors.
• Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population in a long-term care setting.
• Medical knowledge of physical, mental, and social needs of frail older adults.
• Leadership and supervision of interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to develop and implement program policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead PACE program medical care development and operations.
• Oversee the quality improvement program and annual work plan.
• Conduct documentation audits and ensure proper medical records.
• Recruit, credential, hire, and orient primary care physicians and nurse practitioners.
• Coordinate clinical coverage for emergencies and maintain network relations.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and safety standards.
