Job summary

NeuroBionics, an MIT neurotechnology spinout, is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to build clinical-grade devices and support the IO fiber manufacturing process. You will perform high-skill assembly, inspections, and documentation, while learning the fiber process for R&D collaboration at Somerville, MA and Cambridge, MA sites.

We seek a candidate with 2–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in regulated environments, strong manual dexterity, and a disciplined, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing experience in regulated environments preferred.
• Experience following SOPs and completing work orders and quality docs.
• High attention to detail and precision in assembly and inspection.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Experience handling small components and working under a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Assemble clinical-grade devices to specification and perform in-process inspections.
• Maintain high yield and high-quality documentation including travelers and work orders.
• Inspect devices for quality, functionality, and traceability; flag defects.
• Support IO fiber build, testing, and R&D prototyping as needed.
• Operate on cleanroom manufacturing floors with appropriate PPE.
