Job summary

MedSpeed seeks a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Fairfax, VA. The role offers $18.00/hr, full-time, Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with long-distance driving across the DMV area in a company-owned vehicle.

You’ll handle lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and related materials while maintaining safety and professionalism and using a handheld scanner to track items during transport. Training provided and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Must have an excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of the day driving in a company-owned vehicle and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanner to track items through transportation.
• Observe policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items as needed.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Route assignments may vary and shift across routes as needed.
• Work as a team with teammates and clients.
