Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Silver Spring, MD. This full-time role pays $18.40 per hour with a schedule of Wednesday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, plus potential +/- start/end times.

You will operate a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials across the DMV area, using a handheld scanner and maintaining safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials.
• Operate a handheld scanner to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observe policies, procedures and schedules and present a professional image.
• Load/unload items and conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Collaborate with teammates and adapt to changing routes and client needs.
