Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves long-distance driving across the DMV area, delivering medical supplies and specimens in a company vehicle.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, with a starting wage of $18.40 per hour and COVID vaccination required where mandated. You will operate scanning tools, observe policies, and maintain professional client interactions.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x‑rays, hospital supplies, and interoffice mail.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Route duties vary by client and may change across assigned routes.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
