Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Hammond, IN to safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, and related materials in a company vehicle. You will use a handheld scanner to track items, follow schedules, and uphold a professional image with clients while supporting a collaborative MedSpeed team.

Requirements include 19+ years old, a valid driver’s license for 3 years, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and passing

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Strong customer service and dependability.
• Ability to follow procedures closely and determine efficient routing.
• Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens and MV/driver history checks.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof as required by location.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and hospital supplies.
• Operate a handheld scanner to track items through the transport cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules; present a professional image.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment and maintain safe driving.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean.
• Route assignments may change; perform duties across all routes as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaborate with clients to sustain MedSpeed culture.
