Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Charlottesville, VA for a full-time position with a 12:00 PM–8:30 PM shift. You will operate a company vehicle, transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials, and use a handheld scanner to track items.

Qualified candidates are 19+ with a valid license, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and able to pass drug/alcohol screening and MVR review.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ with an active driver’s license
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
• Have a clean driving history and driving record

Responsibilities

• Drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies and related items
• Operate a handheld scanner to track items through the transport cycle
• Follow all safety procedures, policies and schedules
• Present a professional image to clients and the public
• Load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean
• Route assignments may change and vary by client and business needs
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to support MedSpeed goals
