Job summary

MedSpeed is hiring a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Charlottesville, VA. The role offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with a starting wage of $17.00 per hour.

You will transport medical supplies and specimens in a company vehicle, using a handheld scanner to track items and uphold safety and service standards. The position requires a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a focus on customer service

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and ability to adapt to devices and software.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Must have an excellent driving history.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related items in a company-owned vehicle.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items from vehicles as needed.
• Demonstrate safe driving practices and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Support teamwork and adapt to route changes as needed.
