MedSpeed is hiring a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Silver Spring, MD. This full-time role pays $18.40 per hour with evening shifts (Mon-Fri 3:30 PM–9:30 PM; Mon 11:00 AM–7:30 PM). The job involves long-distance driving in the DMV area while transporting lab specimens and medical supplies.

You will operate a handheld scanner, follow routes, and maintain safety and professionalism. COVID vaccination is required depending on location; background and MVR checks apply.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19+ with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass drug & alcohol screens.
• Able to drive in varying weather and traffic conditions.
• Excellent driving history.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and related materials in a company-owned vehicle.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Carry out route duties across assigned routes and adapt to changes.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to foster a MedSpeed team culture.
