Job summary

MedSpeed is hiring a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Silver Spring, MD. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 12:00pm–8:30pm with flexible start/end times.

You will drive a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and related items across the DMV area, using a handheld scanner and maintaining professional presentation. COVID vaccination is required in many locations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Adhere to operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Route duties may vary across routes and be reassigned as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
