Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Addison, TX, to safely drive a company vehicle, transport lab specimens and medical materials, and use a handheld scanner to track items. The role is full-time and on-site with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Compensation is $16 per hour, with benefits such as medical/dental/vision, an FSA, 401(k), and paid time off. Training is provided, and there are opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years old or older and hold an active driver’s license for 3+ years.
• Must be able to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiar with using technology and following procedures.
• Ability to adapt to route changes and varying item weights.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials in a company vehicle.
• Operate a handheld scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean.
• Route assignments may change; perform duties across all routes as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
