Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Medical Courier Driver in Lincoln, NE. The role involves safely driving a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and other materials, using a hand-held scanner to track items through the chain of custody.

You will follow schedules, present a professional image, and ensure timely deliveries. Ideal candidates are 19+ with 3 years of driving, dependable, tech‑savvy, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• 19+ years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability
• Familiarity with technology and ability to follow procedures
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods

Responsibilities

• Drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x‑rays, hospital supplies, and related materials in a company vehicle
• Operate a hand-held scanner to track items through the transportation cycle
• Adhere to operating policies, procedures and service schedules
• Present a professional image to clients and the public
• Load and unload items with appropriate equipment
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean and orderly
• Route duties vary and involve multiple routes and client needs
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to maintain a team culture
