MedSpeed is seeking a Medical Specimen Driver to support our healthcare logistics network. You will drive a company vehicle, deliver lab specimens and related materials, and use a hand-held scanner to track items through the transport cycle.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Able to follow procedures closely and use technology.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Able to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screens.
• Excellent driving history and comfortable with varying weather.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location.
• Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds; walk long distances.

Responsibilities

• Drive in a company-owned vehicle, transporting lab specimens and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanner to track items through the transport cycle.
• Observe policies, procedures and schedules consistently.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness.
• Adapt to varying routes and collaborate with teammates and clients.
