Job summary

Highmark Health in the United States seeks an experienced healthcare analytics professional to translate medical cost data into strategic insights. You will work with matrix partners to build analytics that value programs, track outcomes, and identify opportunities based on evidence.

You will extract and analyze large datasets using SAS/SQL, build dashboards in Tableau/Power BI, and deliver clear executive presentations on cost drivers and savings opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Health, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 5 years in Medical Economics, Healthcare Analytics, Informatics or Actuarial Services in health payer sector.
• Strong coding background in R/Shiny, Python, SQL; experience building dashboards in Tableau/Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Use medical cost analytics to provide strategic insights into cost trends.
• Develop value of programs, track outcomes, and identify focus opportunities.
• Extract, summarize and analyze large datasets via SAS, SQL or similar tools.
• Present concise analytics and claim cost drivers to business partners.
• Coordinate savings projections and post-implementation measurements.
