MyMichigan Health is seeking a Switchboard Operator to answer inbound calls for two locations, relay messages, and provide general information to internal and external customers following established protocols.

You will maintain desk directories, operate beeper/paging systems, and support disaster drills and communications while delivering courteous, professional service in a fast paced health system. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows is required.

Formación

• Experience with switchboard or front desk in healthcare settings preferred but not required.
• Ability to accurately take and relay messages.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload and record information accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with individuals and groups.

Responsabilidades

• Receives and relays internal and external calls and provides general information according to protocol.
• Maintains desk directories, on-call list, reference guides, and other materials.
• Operates beeper and paging system to contact personnel and code team.
• Communicates codes, alerts, drills, and other announcements according to policies and disaster plans.
• Responds and directs customers to appropriate departments.
