Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Colorado is seeking an HID Coding Trainer to educate clinicians, perform audits, and provide feedback on medical documentation and coding practices to support compliant reimbursement. You will analyze data, develop training materials, and partner with clinical practice managers and coding leadership to drive performance improvements while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

This role requires RHIA/CPC/RHIT/CCS certification, 5 years coding experience, and at least 2 years in

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s in a health-related field preferred.
• RHIA, CPC, RHIT or CCS certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of hospital/facility coding experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a training role preferred.
• Experience working with physicians on documentation and coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Audits medical records to ensure alignment with coding requirements and policies.
• Delivers one-on-one and group training using provider tips and virtual sessions.
• Analyzes data and communicates findings to drive documentation improvement.
• Develops educational materials and training programs with coding leadership.
