Job summary

MultiCare Health System in Oregon seeks a Supervisor of Coding to oversee daily operational activities of coders, ensuring accurate and timely coding and billing in line with policies and regulations. You will collaborate with vendor coding teams and drive adherence to compliance audits and workflow priorities.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of coding experience in a hospital setting, a relevant credential, and proven leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of experience may be considered.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CCS-P credentials required.
• Minimum three years of coding experience in a hospital setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for employed and vendor resources in PB coding.
• Monitor documentation integrity trends from audits, denials, and work queues.
• Educate providers and give feedback on diagnosis specificity and documentation.
• Collaborate with PB-CDI and stakeholders to address recurring documentation concerns.
